I want to grow YOUR guitar-focused business
This site started just as a way for me to get help with guitar. It turned into a resource for others to do the same. And now I'd like to take it a step further. I'd like to help "service providers" in the guitar industry to make a (better) living from their choice of work.
This is for YOU if you:
- Teach guitar
- Build guitars
- Service guitars

- Entertain (corporate gigs, restaurants, etc)

Who is this not for?
This is not for you if you buy and sell guitar gear. If you sell gear you built from other parts, that's still a service. But if you buy and sell what others have made, then there are already other effective ways for you to get your name out there and this isn't for you.
Also this isn't for lazy complainer. If you won't write about yourself, take some pics of yourself and your work and update your profile with new testimonials, etc, then this won't work for you. Don't be lazy, do no work and expect miracles. I'm not here to hold your hand if you won't do the very basic work. (I'll make it as easy as possible but the people who put the most effort into their profiles will always do better. If I offended you by telling you this isn't for lazy people, this is definitely not for you!)
What's happening?
I'm going to build multiple, tightly-focused and well-advertised websites where you can list yourself and your services. You'll be able to post pics of past projects, testimonials from clients and so on. The idea is that it will be an easy and effective way to advertise yourself online. And you could get it for free. (Read on.)
What's different?
There might be other places like this out there already. So the big difference is that I'm going to pay for people to come see your profile on my website. As long as you put in the work to load as much quality info about yourself and your services as possible, you'll get some exposure from this.
What's the catch?
Long-term, I'll probably charge for this. But for the first 100 people in each service, you get a "free forever" account. So, for example, the first 100 guitar teachers to sign up will get free advertising on the site for guitar teachers. The first 100 guitar builders will also get a free account, and so on.
So the catch is two-fold: Yes I will eventually make money from this and yes, you need to act fast or you'll lose out on the free part of the deal.
Why should you bother?
I've already made a website like this (promoting a different industry) that I've spent thousands of Rands on for advertising to get 10s of thousands of visitors *A DAY. It worked like a bomb.
Online advertising is hard but I've already studied it for years and I have some tricks up my sleeve. So instead of hoping and praying that your Gumtree / OLX / Facebook groups marketing will work, you can piggyback on my website and keep (or start) making a living from guitar services.
