TJs Acoustic Music Club - Open mic night - March 26th

Thursday March 26th. Venue is the Johannesburg Press Club bar at Marks Park club.

Drinks and food can be ordered. Prices are reasonable.

Music starts at 20:00. The evening is divided into 15 minute slots (longer if not all slots are taken). Get there as early as you can and pick yourself a slot.

TJs provide a PA, microphones and a lead for your guitar. They can usually accomodate duos with no problem.

Couvert charge of R20 as TJs have to pay for the venue.

This is a smaller venue than TJs use for their "proper" shows. More intimate, less threatening, often more fun.

hey Bob i'd really love to make it to one of these, but thats my flamenco gig night .... how late do they continue for? i'm ussually done by 10-30 with my set .... maybe try and be a late arrival...

The venue is not theirs and the club staff need to knock off. So they are usually winding up by about 10:30.

Just call Jonathan's and tell them you've got the trots ?

Just for the record I went, I played, and they gave me a really good sound - even with the chorus pedal turned on.

Cool!! I remember being the first one, in my very tecnophobe way :-[, of suggesting the fault was somewhere on the board and the soundguy. Chorus pedal on and good sound... I feel vindicated!!!! ?
