Ok, so a few year ago the church cleaned out their store room and I was given this amp. I have found no real info on it and when goooogling the model number I get weird looking amps from 1932 or something. It’s a PX-25with a 10W 8Ohm speaker (PSR-001)[Whatever that means] The little Amp is very loud, but the tone is pretty much dead. Nothing special. Even with Multi Effects connected…meh. The only ‘name’ on it is “Musician” (supplied by Melody’s) I have added some pics. Any clues?
Melody's was an odd furniture/music store combination- I once saw a Tobias bass hanging on the wall next to the sofas? This was probably a re-labelled amp imported by them, and if I had to guess I'd say it was made by Samick or Cor-tek (i.e. Cort) as these are the two big, old musical instrument manufacturers in Korea.
peterleroux If it was relabeled by the store, you should see on the component board who the original manufacturer was.
Thanks gents!! I'll open it up this evening and take a gander at the intestines. Maybe I'll get to the bottom of this. Will update.
Well, no luck. Nothing on the instrument board about the manufacturer. Guess its another no-name brand.... Thanks for the help gents!
