If there's only one track you should listen too, I'd say this one. Because it's bizarrrrrre and we had a lot of fun coming up with this - a real mishmash of styles. The opening dub riff just sets the tone for the silliness? 2:49 How can't ya dig those cat meows Jules is getting? 4:02 Fav drop on the album, we come out the 2nd 12th bar section on the 11th bar doing a djent...genius & is big fun live, I don't think we have much footage from the launch gig, is a pity cause we are all bouncing around playing this one ? .
The first song we tracked for the album - and you can hear it. Doesn't sound quite a 'big' as the rest. This was the track we had 7 mixes for as we debated what tones we preferred from the mixes that Louis @ Burning Tone sent us. He had to build all the tones from scratch (Line6 Pod Farm, amongst other tools), There were quite a few re-do's on this track as guitars were setup, tones debated, etc...
0:48-1:33 Reggae bit - I changed the way I played it on the day of tracking, went from a kinda lame walk around the notes to a fat low b string 4-note groove - a groove I've re-cycled many a time (bands and challenges) and it just works ?
