        Haha, okay - it's a bit of a sideways shuffle...Our drummer/fearless leader works at Raru. I'm not sure if this would apply to other bands as it's a very small run (there's 25-30 CD's printed in total). And you'd need to have it barcoded. etc...which he's done before so that all good.

        I know at least one person is curious. The cd's cost around R45/ea to produce (There's a proper inner liner w/lyrics, cd is printed and a decent jewel case - these things all add up - plus the artwork is intricate & colour heavy so that also pushes the cost up a tad).

        I am confident we will earn exactly zero from SAMRO royalties... ?

            I just don't get the hard copy thing - vinyl I can understand. But CD? No comprehen-do. I digitised my CD collection in 2000 and never looked back (was around 300 cd's). A sure fire way to get me not to listen to a album is to only give me a CD.

                I wonder if Raru would be interested in offering deals like that to our other members? Like maybe for bigger runs or something to make it worth their while but that could be pretty neat.

                  NorioDS So I asked and they will stock any local bands CD's. You'll just need to have a properly packaged & barcoded item. Give them a cost price (price you'd like to sell for) and Bob is your uncle, auntie or family member of choice! Not sure, but they may even stock merch (t-shirts, etc...) too.

                        If we can "out-sell" Kurt Darren AND Taylor Swift on pre-order, I'm sure anyone can...We were having a laugh at practice last nite - In all genre's we're the 2nd most popular pre-order...with a grand total of one order...second to "Now 77"! ? ? ?

                          V8 wow that's pretty epic. Would they be cool with that going out in the next newsletter?
