Awesome bands coming to SA

It is just me or is there a major influx of great international bands touring SA this year, apart from the coke zero fest there are The Ataris and Haste The Day coming to SA. Last year saw underoath and before that there was No Fx. Its great to see that they are adding us to their tours. I spoke to Chris from the Ataris last week and he said it was CrashCarBurn who got them in contact with the company who is bringing them over to SA. He also said that No Fx and underoath (who they are friends with) told them that SA was great. Its so great to see, what a nice guy, they are so excited to come to SA. I can't wait.

Gerald, keep me in the loop with the Maiden progress. One of the greatest bands ever.
If you don't find a venue call me, I will make my house available to you ?

Would Maiden be visiting CPT? You could try the Veledorme in Bellville or The Gran West Casino were Seether and Counting Crows performed (Great venue).

I don't think there is any plans for a cpt venue. Only JHB and maybe dbn. i will find out and let you know.

inflames wrote Firstly Devil Driver did not play in SA due to some controversy...

My bad, i just saw the event on fb for Devil Driver at Burn, i assumed the show went ahead.

inflames wrote I can’t wait for As I Lay Dying.

Hearing that As I Lay Dying is coming to SA is literally the best news I have ever heard!! they are my favourite band of all time!!! ? ?

Byron

Where can i find info about when As I lay Dying is playing?

doc-phil

I also wanna know... It doesn't say anything on their myspace page or official website...

There is a group about it on fb tho, just type in 'As I Lay Dying SA tour' or something to that effect...

As far as the info on fb is concerned they are probably only gonna be playing in JHB and CT, which is not cool at all.

There is also a haste the day concert coming to SA. I looked at it, for the DBN section their playing at burn and interestingly i found that the tickets for durban were R170 as opposed to the other places that were r210. How does Burn manage to pull that off? And even how did they manage to get a big act like Devil Driver to even plan to come down to here, let alone play at some local club?

That video above has the most crazy drumming I've ever seen ??? ???

George Kollias must have mechanical feet or something!
