  • Difference between neck and middle pickups: Tokai GS124 Strat

I have an exciting new project that should be finished by the weekend - can't wait to post the photos.

Got an HSS set of pups out of a Tokai GS124 Strat to fit it with, but there is no indication as to which is the neck pup, and which is the mid.
Visually the two are identical, though I haven't had the chance to test their resistances yet to see if there's a difference there.

Any words of wisdom?
Any PUP with a yellow wire, if so, middle pickup.

uh.. easier way, which wire is longer?
The longest one will be neck, the shortest will be bridge, the one in the middle...

If I'm not mistaken both are white. I'll confirm when I get home though.

Facepalm. Can't believe I didn't think of that.
in all seriousness though, neck / middle are going to measure similar most times, with a bridge pup being hotter.
but also, not necessarily. My Fender 60th Anniversary '54 pups measure the same on all 3 pups. and I had to cut wires to suit as well.
I take it if they measure the same then position doesn't matter right?
