Wait... a REAL plexi?!? That's right folks, the real McCoy. 100 watts of pure unadulterated rock. With a matching 1935B 4x12 loaded with a quad of blackback G12M 55hz.
The bulgin socket, switches, one fuse holder and one cap have been replaced, as well some of the 1k screen resistors.
It's unspeakably loud. I'm running it with two tubes pulled and a home made attenuator just to get to sleep on the couch type volumes. But it's the gutsiest, fattest, most pissed off, most sweet sound I've ever heard/felt.
The cab is wonderful too, makes every other one of my amps sound great. I finally get the fuss over 4x12s. The 55hz blackbacks are slightly different voice to the 75hz that we all know, but the basic DNA is there, just a little tweak to the EQ. Had a bit of a scare with one speaker giving an intermittent fault. But was just a loose pigtail and an easy fix for my preferred speakers guy.
Anyway, pics or it didn't happen!
