  • HERSCHELL electronic cleaner safe to use on peavey kb5 amp pots?

Hi

I have a peavey KB5 amp that I can't use due to the knobs being very noise when I turn them or leave as is, was wondering if the electronic cleaner referenced is safe to use to try and clean it?

Yip, that's the good stuff for cleaning electronics.

Spray into the 'maintenance port' of your pot, turn pot, rinse and repeat. I like the term 'washing' - liberal doses of cleaner to wash the crap out of your pot.

Not all pots can be saved, but you'd be surprised how many you can!
Awesome thank you for the reply, I will give it a go, and report back to how well it worked.
Just some feedback, cleaned the post pretty well with the electronic cleaner. everything is working good now thanks. no noise or anything. will see if holds up, I guess I will need to get a plastic cover for this amp or something because it seems very open for dust to easily get into the electronics.

          Cool!

It should be good for a while - AKAIK, the grime in the pot is usually from the carbon track in the pot wearing over time as the wiper moves across the surface. A cover is more for the protecting the exterior than protecting pots?
