high gain/high energy could mean punk, metal, djent, rock - everything is open to interpretation! Though -maybe too much interpretation- maybe cool to try and do a challenge where we are competing more directly (specific genre or specific fx, etc...). Sheesh, we can even try the lyric one y'all were thinking about a few challenges back?
I'd say...yes! That and a open D (dadgad) is about the only alternate tunings I've tried with any intent. But I'm generally not a fan, too lazy for the effort :-[
Alternate tuning is awesome, specially on the acoustic. I like the metal challenge as i have literally NEVER played metal before. or any of the other ' high energy' stuff. my fingers are too slow for such. Loved punk at school, but never tried it though...
Sounds like an interesting challenge coming up... "HighEnergyDropDXmaswithLyrics" 8)
