Hi all!

So after unknowingly hijacking another member's introduction thread I'll try again..

I've been playing for about 10 years now. I'm a blues rock fan, but as long as the playing includes some creativity and soul I'll probably be a fan. I'm not playing in a band at the moment, have two children under two years old and finding time to play is a major challenge.

I'll 2nd Stud's request for a pic of the MIJ Tele - he and I have soft spots for MIJ Fenders 8)

You might enjoy the challenge section if you don't have time to get out in the band scene, it can be a fun way to keep the creative juices a-bubbling.

It's a fantastic guitar, and more often than not I prefer playing it to my strat. It's something about the setup that makes it feel so easy to play. These days I mostly just grab a guitar and play without plugging in (ie. 30 sec breaks between juggling crying children..), and I have realised that the natural resonance of the tele is quite amazing when compared to my strat, maybe an age thing, I dunno?

When I find time I'll post pics of my entire setup on the gear thread! And the challenge section sounds like agreat idea ?

Have noticed a difference between through strung (hardtail) and strat style tremelo equipped guitars. Hardtails have a different resonance, seems a bit louder to me than tremelo guitars (even when hardtailed). Neither is good or bad, just different?

I tend to reach for my strat, probably for familiarity more than anything else!

Clearly, I need to do more research (It isn't called G.A.S :?)
