There's been a few posts recently about nuts/saddles and I thought I'd share this :

http://www.graphtech.com/products/brands/nubone

A box full of useful bits - Variety of nuts & saddles. Compensated saddles, slotted nuts and blanks for both.

Audiomark will sell you the box for around +/-R1500 & I know the Gear Junkies are selling them at R70/ea.

There you go - if you want attend to action on one of your babies and want to retain the original bits (always a good idea) or ditch the cheap plastic bits that came on your beater - you've got options!

    Hooray for Meron!
    Thanks for this.

Did i read that correctly about The Gear Junkie? R70 each for BONE nut and saddle? That's real cheap!

      Heh, contain your enthusiasm... ?

Yip, it's R70/ea for NUbone (graphtech synthetic bone). Spotted it yesterday - It's a reasonable markup imho.

Sure beats boiling up bones in hydrogen peroxide for hrs to get the fats/oils of out real bone so you can use it (and hopefully not too brittle that you can't). And then shaping it...
