Hi guys.
I've got my Strat plans ready, pickups ready and everything I need to start my Strat build.

All I'm missing is wood for the body. ...

Anyone here that supplies, has or knows where to get anything from Mahogany, basswood to swamp alder?
    Thank you.
Do they do body sized pieces?
What wood would (would a woodchucker chuck) be preferable for a Strat style guitar?

Any size you can think of - though you may well struggle to find a "one piece" chunk of wood for a body, usually made up of two or three pieces.

      Typically Alder or Ash.

Without poking the hornets nest of "wood = tone" on electrics. imho, the two facts that may affect a decision on body wood are : weight and intended finish.
