So I decided I need to push my limits a bit.
I chose a relatively easy song to cover to give myself something to focus on.

I did guitars, bass and vocals.
Busy with an electronic drum kit to add drums still.

Vocals aren't epic but are passable.

Solo needs some more work.

All in all... not "terrible" for a first full song recording attempt.
Sounds good! Quite an iconic riff yet not hard at all.
Nicely done warrenpridgeon, sounding good ..... looking forward to some drums!
      Great idea ?

I'm wanting to get serious about my singing too so thanks for posting this. It's always helpful when someone else does it first!
I recently stopped playing guitar for a few months and have been battling to focus on anything specific. So I thought lemme pick a song I dig and record it.

        Thanks ?
Looking forward to adding the drums also. Busy home brewing a drumkit. I might connect my arduino to an old guitar hero drumkit just to get the drums done for this song.

Do it. The first time I heard my singing I was like eish! I've put in a bit of practice...not enough yet. But eq helped a lot and I've learnt a lot from recording this song.

Hey bud, honest opinion from someone who does not know much...I feel like you try to mimic an American southern accent (or something that sounds Tangy...I don't quite know how to explain it) a bit in the beginning but the rest sounded real good ?

          5 months later

SkietzoPanda I'm from Southern Gauteng... lol... does that count? hahaha.

I didn't really try mimic any specific accent... That's pretty much how my talking voice sounds ?
But then I have rocked a bit of a hillbilly look for a while... note the "white trash stash" along with the woven grass hat... hahahahaha
