That is actually so ridiculous, a guitar I can understand because guitars are different and sound different, so his one was cool and unique.. A pedal is a pedal, very few things that could be unique to that one, except it looks like it's on the brink of no longer working ? $11 000 is craziness!

This isn't too unusual. It can be seen as a piece of history, amongst a certain group of people. It certainly has collectors value.
Don't be fooled into thinking the most expensive items are also the best. Look at Dumble amps for instance...

Priced for the mojo, not unusual for instruments of famous musicians to sell for much higher than their actual worth due to the mojo worth...
having said that, if I had the cash I would buy a brand new one for 100 dollah anyway... ?

Yeah. I think the price is more meant to reflect that it's a significant artefact of Stevie Ray-Vaughn's music career than that it has any special properties.
