Hi all,
I noticed that my Fender Hot rod deluxe started making a very annoying buzzing sound on low end notes. It seems to be cab related noise.
So, i sent it to Toms in Bloem for a checkup. The amp was returned to me in the same condition.
Can anyone tell me how to get it fixed? It used to sound great. Very annoying because I use it for recording and the mic tends to pick up the buzzing noise.

You'll need to find out where it is buzzing, and if it is the cab doing this. It could be something loose on the cabinet, (reverb tank or something), my method of sitting behind the cab and playing a note and poking around with a finger has helped me in this regard before.
Another thing it could be is a microphonic preamp valve, to test, switch on your amp, remove the shields from the preamp tubes and gently tap them with a pencil, a microphonic preamp tube will make the amp sing, some brands of valves will make a 'ping' sound if you tap them, this is normal.
Also, make sure that you're not hearing fret buzz from your guitar, does it make this noise with all your guitars?
