So this actually arrived at our house before leaving for a holiday at the coast, but I only got to play with it when we got back yesterday.

A Christmas present from my wife ?, this is a dual-fidelitron black telecaster. I'm loving the feel of it, but I will swap the 250k volume out for a 500k, and will add in the tone switching from the Custom Shop Cab (basically 'cocked wah/rolloff' capacitors with different values for each pickup).

The neck is a bit chunkier than my Classic Vibe Tele, which sits very nicely in my hand. Apparently the pickups are the same model as the ones from the MIM Cabronitas, and they sound pretty good to me.

So this afternoon I re-wired and shielded this guitar. I got a 500k push-pull pot to replace the 250k, and to allow me to have the 'Eldred mod/cocked wah' tones from the Custom Shop version when I pull on the pot- basically a different treble cut for the two pickups. I also replaced the box switch with an open frame style switch. As far as shielding goes, I know Aluminium tape supposedly has non-conductive glue, but after poking around a bit with a multi-meter I'm satisfied that I have continuity on the shielding.
