Hi,

For some reason when recording I can hear the click track in my recording..
I have tried recording with click track on very low volume. So low that I can barely hear the click through my headphones while recording. But, for some reason it keeps getting caught up in the mix.
I have never had this problem before. Just did some recording the other day and all was fine.
Could it be my interface giving problems?
Using senheiser hd202 headphones and Yamaha MW12 interface with Cubase.
This is so frustrating! >☹

(update)
I have now tried muting all the mics. When i click record on a channel it even "records" the other tracks in the mix as well... So, the problem is not that the mic catches the audio coming from the headphones. It seems to be more of a internal problem.
When you play back the recording to listen to it you should disable the clicktrack. This is how it is in Garageband, anyway.

      Hi,
Yes it is disabled. The problem is not the click track only. When recording it not only picks up the click, but all the other tracks.
I tested it by muting the mics and clicking record. When recording a single track it "records" all the other tracks on that one single track resulting in all tracks being recorded on 1 track and the click track as well.
      Am I making sense?
Oh, I've seen this happen in some software. It could be something to do with using the master track or something. I don't know cubase though. Maybe there's a way to tell it to only play those other tracks but not add it to the one you are recording.
How did you "add" the clicktrack?
What does your VST device setup look like?

          Cubase version?
Check your settings, set up your recording and playback devices. Use earphones to hear click track when recording so that it does not form part of the new track as back ground.
If using a second track use same click track to record to prevent unnecessary latency lag
It's called cross talk and its a nasty topic. I think mine reigns from my m audio fast track. I initially thought it was guitar rig and then cubase. Annoyingly, you might have success but usuing a simple drum track in cubase instead of the metronome.

I would also say try using another daw to test.

Any way. If you find a solution of be keen to know.
which DAW are you using? might be crosstalk / phones bleed, but more likely just a setup issue.
Check your recording input on your soundcard. Your software may offer a selection of which input to record. I.e. line in, mic in and/or "what you hear". If you've selected "what you hear", it will record everything that's coming through your monitors onto the one track. If this is the case, select either mic in or line in.
