  • Power Supply for Pedals

Hi Everyone,

I have started collecting more pedals to get my pedal board together.
I need to get power for 5 pedals (maybe 6): overdirve, distortion, chorus, tremelo and compression.

My other pedals have their own power supplies.

I have read through this thread:
http://www.guitarforum.co.za/guitar-gear/power-supplies-for-pedal-board/?PHPSESSID=aiv17o2tut7s6lrs1k4rvkv024

the link pointing to the power adaptor at ManTech is not working anymore and was wondering if the following adaptor will do the job with a daisy chain:
http://www.mantech.co.za/ProductInfo.aspx?Item=372M0302

I don't really want to cough up close to R2k for a power supply, but if the above adaptor will not do the job or will be noisy I will maybe reconsider.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
Pop Effects can make one at a decent price, if I remember correctly. Find them on facebook.
      Thanks Hasie,

      I will check them out.

That SHOULD do the trick, but it is always tricky until everything is plugged in.

        What effects are you running?

Meanwell is one of the better PSU makers, I have used their switching supplies with no problem before.

          Hi Peter,

          Thanks for the reply.
This will be used for overdrive, distortion, chorus, tremelo and compression pedal (maybe a tuner as well).

I think I might just give it a try and see how it works then, will work out a lot cheaper than the power supply bricks.
Define noisy? You may not mind, while others would.
Honestly I don't know why you would use effects if you don't want to power them well. Power supplies may cost more but that's because its basically the most important part of your board.
If you are goingto Daisy chain them you can try Godlyke Power All (The best Option) Still though all your chain in literally a chain not isolated effects which creates noise.

That power supply will work 100%
