          Good old Windows Paint will help you quickly. Open the pic with Windows paint, click on resize and reduce until the pic fits in the screen, save it in either PNG, JPEG or GIF format. Quality is best in PNG worst in GIF format but still acceptable depending the quality you started of with.

            I've had trouble even doing that. I ended up inserting the pic onto a Word doc, converting the doc to PDF, clicking and copying the image off the PDF and then using Paint to save it as a JPEG. Long winded but it works.
