(It works exactly the same as posting a new topic.
Set a subject for your topic. Include the price. If you're looking to buy something, start your subject with "Wanted:"
Describe what you're selling in the message.
Click "Additional options" and attach some pics. More pics usually means a faster sale. Pics of your OWN real gear usually work better than pics from the 'net.
Click "Post"
After the item is sold...
- Reply saying something like, "All sold." Or if you've decided not to sell, let us know that. This should stop folks from PMing you.
Optional: You can also edit your original topic and add in "SOLD" in bold, red caps.
- Scroll down and click "Lock Topic". This will stop people from replying after you've sold everything.
DO NOT! ...
DON'T: Delete the description of your ad when everything is sold. This makes the forum look frigging ugly.
DON'T: Get into a mud-slinging fight with a buyer who wasn't respectful of your ad. Reply to them calmly and professionally. Doing this publicly, in my experience, actually helps sales because other buyers get their questions answered and you come out clean and shiny while your "haters" come off as the idiots that they are ? Win-win-win!
