Found a site where you can enter your guitar serial number and then it gives you the date of manufacture. Well, bought my Yamaha acoustic new December 2014, yet the date of manufacture seems to be 2004? Could this be? The guitar is great, I just find this curious.

Yamaha serial numbers are recycled every ten years, only 2 formats are supported here and those formats offer no clue as to where these guitars where made.
