Lethe and no, I don't look in any mirrors while I play (even though my guitar has a mirror scratch plate...which would be very convenient for some of you ? )... I try to avoid mirrors very much...hahaha
themanthatwalks let me just say that I dont look in the bath room mirror. My music room has mirrors instead of doors on the cupboards ???
deanBailey hehe I had a 1m long mirror detached completely and put near where I practice. I got this mirror idea from a drummer who I happen to consider one of the best in the country so I felt no shame in trying it out ?.
NorioDS Meir (Satriani on here) always suggests that you practise in front of a mirror as it makes it easier to see what you're doing wrong. And the few times I've tried it, I've picked up on little things that are impossible to notice otherwise! So I'd say it's sound advice. Scuse the pun ?
JoEllis I was in a music shop in Manchester once and they had booths where you could try out guitars. Each booth had a full Marshall stack on the one side (not on) and a full-size mirror on the other side so that you could see yourself with the axe you're trying out in front of a massive stack. It was awesome! I bet that makes them sell twice as many guitars as they would without it.
Heath i tried the whole mirror playing , it's interesting to see what you actually do , and helped with my chord changing technique , sound cleaner now

Heath would have the same effect i supposr and proabaly better as you can go back and watch the same problem over and over .
