Nooit. Just turn the knobs, you'll get fast at it soon enough.
I recently acquired an epiphone les paul junior which is going to become my rocksmith guitar because of some of the crazy tunings. lol.

I also got a bunch of guitar wall hangers from a dude of FB so I'm gonna put my guitars up on the wall in my study. The more accessible the gear the more likely I am to jam often.

lol! Warren this (ie: Rocksmith) is exactly the reason why I'm getting a multi-guitar stand. I considered the wall hangers but thought... with my epic (read: non-existent) DIY skills, I will be picking up guitar pieces from the floor for MONTHS!

So I found this pretty neat deal from Takealot for R819. Holds 5 guitars:

      • So my sexy white JS100 will be in E Standard.
      • My badass black RG42-DX will be in Drop D.
      • My bass guitar (no idea off-hand what the model is ?) is hardtail so it will be the bass-slut.
      • And my new Schecter/Ibanez/other guitar (when I eventually decide what I'm getting) will be a hardtail so it'll be the guitar-slut.
That leaves one space open. I have a sneaking suspicion that won't last very long ?
Now that you guys are talking guitars for Rocksmith, how would it work with an acoustic out of curiosity?

Finally got my first 100% on Rocksmith 2014

          Pearl Jam - Black (Rhythm)

Random Youtube video, not my video

          =

Disclaimer: I am not a natural and yes it took me almost 300 hours. Having said that I've bought so much dlc that I rarely play the same song more than twice a day or even twice a week.

I figure it can work quite nicely but, of course, not as well as with an electric as most of the songs are geared towards that.

I'm no expert in these areas but I'd say the major thing to consider is good pickups. As long as there's a pretty decent signal going in, it should sound pretty good coming out.

There are also quite a lot of songs that call for a more acoustic sound so if acoustic is your thing, you actually might have some nice DLCs to play. (But still way less than electric guitar DLCs.)

              Well done bro!

I remember getting my first 100% on Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. The bass part.

It's soooo easy. I highly recommend it to anyone needing something easy to master in Rocksmith. It really made me feel good considering I've never really played bass before.

Now I've moved on to some more challenging bass numbers and still getting some "easy wins" compared to rhythm and lead. It's tons of fun without nearly as much work.
                Hey Guys,
Iv got RockSmith on my PS4, playing with headphones and an acoustic guitar. It works really well actually! I need to spend some more time on it though... The arcade games can be loads of fun!
Oh No! I just loaded Windows 10 onto my laptop and now this game is super slow. >☹ I am trying to set all settings to minimum but it just won't speed up. I'm going to gut my wife's laptop to see if additional memory will solve it. :'(
You can roll back but only within 30 days.

Rocksmith 2014 is on special at takealot today for R499 with cable. There are currently 111 left, so there should be enough for everybody! ?

Sorry to rehash a thread that hasn't been posted in in a while, but I cannot rave about Rocksmith 2014 enough. I finally feel like I can actually play my instruments...

                          Hi Guys,

Just a heads up with Steam prices now in Rand you can get Rocksmith 2014 for R279 and DLC songs seem to be around R30

                          Cheers

                            (Hopefully) quick question...

If I buy the original Rocksmith game, can I buy DLC for that game and it'll work on RS 2014? There are some really good songs for the original game that I'd love to play.
                              Hi Norio,

If you buy the original you can buy dlc from the older game and it works in rocksmith 2014. However if you want the songs that came standard with the original available in Rocksmith 2014 you need to buy the import tool. I've done it and personally think it's worth it as you get a lot of songs. Import tool is priced at R99.

                              Regards

I'm having some problems with lag. I'm running on a 3.2 Ghz i3, 8Gb DDR3 ram and a 2Gb Geforce 620GT. My specs should be more than adequate but Rocksmith is still a couple of milliseconds off. Anyone experiece the same or have a solution?
