CAT5/5e/6 Cable for MIDI controller

I'm looking for 10m of BLACK cat5/5e/6 ethernet cable to be used with a MIDI controller.

Does anyone know where I can find some? Preferably in the PTA area. I already checked with Communica and RS and doesn't need to have the rj45 connectors fit.

Not sure, MIDI cable tends to come in black four core wire with DIN 5 pin plugs at both ends... Why would you want cat5 which has 4 pairs of wire if it's not obtainable in black?

Solid copper or flex/stranded?

I have UV-Protected, foiled/somewhat-shielded Cat-5/6 (I forgot) Cabling which is black if you are interested, but it is inflexible as all hell which might not be ideal for your use.

I never claimed that the cable was to replace/used with a MIDI interface, the controller in-fact sports a MIDI and Ethernet protocol and I am opting for the latter as it is used to power the device as well as sending data.

Thank you, you're correct, a flexible cable is indeed preferable but I'll contact you if I don't come right!
