I bought some Danelectro pedals a while back on a Guitar forum special. I haven't been using them much but lately I have tried to use them. two pedals in particular are giving me a problem:
the Fab Echo - it has a great slap-back echo effect but lately it gives out a loud whine? Is there something I am doing wrong. The settings for slap-back echo are as per the pamphlet.
the cool cat drive - again - a good drive pedal but recently it seems to have stopped working - I get a louder drive with the pedal switched off than when I switch it on. What am I doing wrong?
Anyone who can advise me on either issue would be appreciated.

TI Distribution on this forum should be able to help you? That's who you got them from. Hope you get them sorted.

+1 to Big G's comment on contacting the distributors for the problems with the FAB. Regarding the Cool Cat - have you tried boosting the volume on the pedal? Try to get your clean sound from the amp and overdriven sound (from the pedal) to match by tweaking either the pedal's volume or drive (gain). See which suits the tone you're after best. I've found that most pedals need some experimenting to get them right. You won't necessarily find the that an O/D pedal is louder than the amp just because its a drive or distortion pedal. If you've done that already and the problem is different, then ignore my comment.

thanx for the advice - the boost is definitely working more as an attenuator than a boost and the echo us still whining - these are some sick pedals even after only about 10 hours of use... I'll contact the distributors... but beware....

The delay chip in the echo pedal is temperamental -try a different power supply and see if that helps. It's the same pt2399 that goes into the boutique 'analog feel' digital delays

Interesting to know. I have the Cool Cat Trem and it hasn't given any trouble at all so far.
