Anyone know of local suppliers for the 4ohm/16ohm switchable jack plates as found in Marshall 4x12's and other cabinets?
Trying to save myself importing and waiting for it to get lost in the post..

And yes, I know they're pretty easy to wire up myself. But I am specifically wanting a drop in replacement.

I prefer the switching type rather than this kind

Apparently that type is prone to failure (it uses a DPDT switching jack instead of a dedicated switch) otherwise I'd go for it. Just trying to be safe as possible with a tube amp going into the cab.

It looks like I'm going to end up having a go at wiring it myself though. Bought the parts at lunch.. on paper it's a cinch but making it look neat is harder ?

I'll do a follow up post with pics if anyone's interested.

Right, wired up a switch last night, as in the diagram. Pretty simple and neat with spade connectors.
      Will post up pics tomorrow.

Voila! Easy change between 4 and 16ohm, with an external jack for an extension speaker should you wanna run 2x 16ohms in parallel (Just gotta be careful not to use an extension cab in 4 ohm mode!)
