• The Paul Bothner sponsored October Challenge - Category 1 [VOTE]

Here is the "Beginner" group [Category 1]. One vote each.

I'm very happy to see some Beginners entering again. Its awesome to have our first full comp with all 3 categories competing. Best of luck to you all.

Try be tactful when commenting if you have submitted a track, you welcome to 'crit' your track as if you are an objective 3rd party to throw off the scent of the others Just try to the best of your ability to not give away too much.

Mustain "Noodle" http://guitarforum.co.za/gfsacomps/mp3s/Mustain.mp3 Drums DvDrums V2 12 string acoustic rhythm Bass done on Zoom G1Xon Lead on leccie with organ tone on G1Xon

My inspiration came from the Eagle's Hotel California chords and some. The bass line was stuck in my head and I had to give it a go. Some mistakes but recording in Audacity just does not make it easy as I have to re-take every track.

*Both these track names seem like something the respective celebrity artists would call their songs haha :P

Nice, would have liked the acoustic/clean to be a little less effect heavy. Tad short, but I liked the progression.

    Mustain
Liked the ideas you had in there. Felt a little "busy", hid the acoustic guitar most of the time. But I liked the piece.

Coming down to CT in December.

I can collect and bring down if it is OK with compo organisers?

              It's only been a week? By slaapstad standards...that's less than 24hrs :?

Took about two weeks to arrange collection when I was a lucky winner a few months ago - have a little faith and perhaps a sprinkling of patience, Adrian will organize.

Its coming. Just be patient. It has nothing to do with it being Cape Town. The guys at PB are just incredibly busy - but you won, so either way the strings are yours. We can't take that away from you.

I've sent the information across, so hopefully, for your sake, you will hear from them soon.

T'was a jest I made about my favourite city...(cue the Jeremy Clarkson voiceover)...In the World!

I greet my Jozi mates who visit with a simple mantra "Hurry up and slow down...". 99/100 times it works, but there's always one who'd rather be somewhere else :?
Picked my Strings up this Morning  Just wanna say thanx to Adrian and Specialy Heidi from Paul Bothners N1 City for her friendly service..didn't think friendly service existed in Cape Town..they were very friendly and helpful..thanx a lot guys and girl ?
