I know Graham at the Gear Junky had one. Not sure if he's sold it or not though?

I very nearly bought one of these setups myself as I loved the tone, but I read a few too many reviews that shared too many issues with them overheating and stuff, so it put me off.

Lapdawg (on this forum) has an 18 watt amp at the Gear Junkie for sale. Clone of a Marshall 1974x AND it has power scaling == adjustable voltage to power tubes == control volume but get power tube distortion. Maybe a bit more pricey than a Laney. Gawd I love 18 watt amps.

I think that was based on the bluesbreaker if im not mistaken.. but alas even if it still lying at grahams joint its way above my budget at the moment

It was there for a lot longer than I thought it would be, became the go-to shop amp. Happily it found a home w/Opeth a couple weeks ago, who's apparently lovin' it.

The Hayward's attention to detail is inspiring, right down to the "user's manual". Hmmm, I think I'll give it a run today, havn't heard it properly since lapdawg replaced the valves a few weeks ago.

Not based on the Bluesbreaker (JTM45), it is a clone of the 18 watt Marshall model 1974x from 1966-1969. 1x12 Combo with EL84 power section and a normal + tremelo channel.

Heya Moose, I'm not Graham (AFAIK he's "The Gear Junkie" on GFSA). I don't think Ollie has registered on GFSA yet - last time I asked, he had issues registering...apparently the register button on the top nav bar isn't obvious enough... :?

I'm popping into day coz' I havn't been into GJ for a few weeks and I'm missing my mates...Or more accurately there's a pair of Maingard's classical's I want to drool over ?

Sheesh, Andy's Parker Select is a steal @ 20k. Uber tempting...But it's sooo true, wants vs needs. Occasionally there is a pleasant surprise...Want midi guitar, have collected some parts (ghost saddles + GI20 + hexpander), then a friend gifts me his midi keyboard and now I'm having a blast hacking away on the "ivories", realizing I needed this thing a long time ago!
