Does anyone have any experience with this amp? Any thoughts? How is the sound? the tone? Overdrive etc... Cleans?
and at what price would you suggest to buy it second hand?

They're nice. They have a desoldering issue which is usually fairly cheaply solved. (They get hot and desolder themselves at some point, it has happened to a couple guys on this forum).
They are insanely loud and there aren't that much drive on tap from the preamp. They do sound nice though.

+1 to all EZ's comments. I always liked 'em - nice, simple, blues/blues-rock amp with some Voxy dirt and Fenderish cleans. Tended to be very loud when driven though, so not really a small venue or bedroom amp.
The older original tweed ones were pretty reliable workhorses. The solder thing only seemed to plague the newer ones (and easily fixed). All of them had occasional problems with the reverb tanks - but also something easily fixed.
Value? I'm not sure, but would guess around R4.5K.

+1 Thanks Allan, you saved me from a buy that i wouldve regretted in the long run...
