Realy Dig the "Hoey" track nice feel to it ?
Green: Great sounding track and interesting playing, but not entirely sure what sort of mash up you were going for? Sounded a lot more Pantera-like that Metallica, not a bad thing in my book! I would have liked to have heard a more pronounced mash up though.

Hall: Interesting concept, and I liked the track and that was some sweet lead playing. The track did sound a little bit too busy for me though. I think the rhythm guitars crowded the mix a little, and I would have preferred just the lead and drums at some points.

Hoey: That sounded like an A Day To Remember / Attack Attack cross-over. Post hardcore already exists as a sub-genre so not entirely sure this counts as a true mash up. Also at nearly 4 minutes, you forgot the time restrictions for this comp.

Man I sound really critical ? I guess it's because the standard of these comps is reaching new highs every time. Good efforts all round. I'm going to have to take some time to deliberate.
Heish, I get the rare chance to choose a topic and can't get together a decent entry...tsk-tsk :-[

Green : HOLY S^%$&%...Awesome :applause: - Riffage reminded me of 'through the never', mix was 1st class - guitars heavy, drums sounded massive and the synth-y texture/backdrop added something special - the mix had a big arena feel...I like! Might have been nice to turn up the bluesy lead(s) in the intro/outro, but that's just a very minor thought.

Hall : Hahaha, you stole my idea - nice! The section after the 1-2-3 was my favorite, though I thought maybe it was more electro than house with the bassline? Perhaps the mix was a bit rough & busy with the lead guitar, would have liked to hear a bit more of the rhythm guitar in the 2nd part?

Hoey : Sweet track, real good production. Kinda metalcore? 1st time I've heard autotune in a challenge entry ? But it was (for a challenge) a bit long at 3:47 & also not sure that you've not bent the max tracks guideline...

Naaahhh, not overly critical - was perhaps a tougher topic than I originally thought?

A good thing that peeps like yourself, Mixerboy & Adrian are building on the levels that past contributors have set (HWC, Alan, Evo, X-Rated, Arno, and all others!)
Hall: this one just sounded almost like straight blues to me until the beat kicked in, then it sounded like dance hillbilly blues more than House, the clicking up until then was a bit strange, got a bit of a polyrhythm thing going on. Over all it works in a crazy kind of way.

Hoey: this sounded just like regular metalcore to me (from the little I've heard), maybe a bit more dancey here and there, the whole thing could work if it had that "Sturgis" production to it (if you're interested pm me) but then it would REALLY sound like the core stuff rather than a hybrid.

Green: this one does sound like Metallica's Sad But True mixed with regular blues, even the main riff is just a standard blues riff, good job, nice mix.

I was also going to do some kind of blues mixed with dance but ran out of time.
              Mixerboy - Green
              V8 - Hall

Well done, again, Mixerboy ? at this rate you can start your own store.

Arie, as you are runner up, you can send me an idea for the next theme.
congrats Mixerboy!!! I'm more than happy with 2nd Place and@Adrian...as an idea, what about "create own acoustic tune, and add a lil solo over it" ??? dunno if this has been done before in a competition???? Main Riff must be Acoustic/clean sound electric...and Solo must be Electric Guitar??
That's a good theme, pretty simple so pretty much anyone can give it a go
Awesome idea, even I might be able to enter? a lot of great guitarists/musicians on here and competing in these comps is like tryna get a date with jessica alba
thanx, that way it gives more people a chance to enter ?
