cheers bud.. the case is quite smart ?
so for the older forum members, they may remember my mindless babblings about the guitar that Ive always gassed for. And its all Mr. Zappa's fault.
For years and years I was mesmerized by Frank Zappa's compositions and playing style. But it was when I got my grubby mittens on a double LP, Live in New York that the gas really started.
This image forever burnt itself into my memory
That's right.. the humble SG.
Of course this individual didn't help matters either..
Alas, a 13 year old could hardly ever dream of owning such epicness.
I once played an Epi SG and was devastated because something felt off with the playability.. this dashed my dream and I developed a love hate relationship with the fabled SG.
This was 15 odd years ago..
Now my playing style has changed some and when I saw this hanging there, next to all the LP's and PRS's and all that.. I was just drawn to it. There were 3 there. Tried them, and to my surprise, the funny playability did not rear its head...
promising I thought.. so the guy says plug er in and give it a whirl.. and if I want volume I must let him know.. so the fender amp didn't do It for me, I tell the man I need volume, and off we go to the room with all the high end amps..
lo and behold... a JCM800... well lets just say I paid the man and brought er home.. (the guit.. not the amp)
61 re-issue (with the 57 custom pups)
Couldn't find the tokai so settled for the Gibbo ?
Now if only I could score a JCM800 :-[
