My BvanS Striatus

On my last trip to SA I had the absolute pleasure of meeting and staying with Neon Gecko. What an incredibly talented guy! After looking at the instruments that they have in stock, I decided to get a Striatus made for myself to my specifications. Neon Gecko has been working on some 3D pictures and these are the first. The build kicks off at the end of this month! I'm excited! Pick ups are BvanS neck single and a Seymour Duncan Vintage bridge. I also want the old style three saddle bridge.

That looks lovely, Chabenda! I must have missed this, but what woods did you choose? The neck rendering has a ton of birdseyes. Maple neck, rosewood fingerboard? And the body?

Ah, Prose, the neck and fret board are both maple. The neck inlay is ebony and the body is....um...err... good question! Ha ha! I'm not sure - I'll have to ask Senhor Gecko. What a dumbass I am , I can't believe it myself!

Looks like ash, but I think wayne uses alder. Looking gooooooood!

Yup Chris - the shielding is done and the neck cavity stamped. Now it's time for Dr. Frankenstein to attend to her nervous system. Neon Gecko will, in a couple of days, get onto finishing the neck. I must say, I am quite overwhelmed by the colour and quality of the paint. It is incredible.

Alan and Stud are 100% correct. The body is ash - and I am now more the wiser. :-[
