Well, no one else has started one, so here goes.

Let the games begin...what a great month it's going to be.
I put R10 on Germany and R10 on Ghana at work. Here's hoping I win something haha

      Brazil are overwhelming favorites....

Gonna be tough for non South American teams to win it....

Belgium are strong ...but doubt winning is possible.....looking forward to the games

Predict dismal performances by the African teams to be honest...
I'm Portuguese so supporting wholeheartedly... But unfortunately our first match is against Germany, don't think it's going to be good... I think the title is going to be between Germany, Spain and Brazil. Those are my predictions.
I'm for Germany, Bosnia and Croatia ?
            Head vs Heart.

Heart is going for England. It's not impossible. Some great youngsters in the team and if Rooney and Sturridge click up front, and defensively they are strong as long as Johnson doesn't play.

I'm in the same camp as you.
Been supporting England and Holland at every WC since the beginning of time. ?

Brazil are a team full of genius individual players, but they've gelled into a tight well prepared unit, they must be considered favourites.
But, many many surprises to come, strange things happen at the World Cup...game goes to penalty shoot outs, one bad penalty, goodbye. ?
Germany, Italy, Argentina, Holland, Spain, can all win it...

Since David platts goal that knocked out Belgium in a World Cup I have fancied England for the cup, this is the first World Cup I do not....hodgeson does well with limited resources , not so well with an abundance of them
Ok, I'm still sticking with Brazil ..... always have been, always will be !!

(BTW. There are two people really happy about the introduction of goal-line tech, me and Frank Lampard .... ?. )

                  Go Brazil .... !!
Anybody keen to start a GFSA Superbru pool?

                      Hey Aubs, hope you're well.

Have you watched "The class of 92" documentary?...brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! I've watched it 3 times now. ?

Unfortunately goal line technology is not enough, every penalty decision should be examined by a third ref (video replay), every yellow and red card decision should be examined by a third ref as well...IMO

There will be some disastrous referee decisions in this WC, no doubt about it, decisions that could make the difference between winning and losing a game.
@ Tokai - Class of 92 is awesome, great to see them interacting like that

Enjoyed the game last night - Brazil had some nerves and weren't their free flowing selves, so imagine them once they click...

You'll run into the same problem as they did when the technology was introduced to cricket - if you had to review every decision it would make the game a lot longer, or give significantly less play in the allotted time.

I really hope South Africa does well. When is their first game. Oh and I also like Netherlands with that orange stuff gives me goosebumps. I love orange. tell me was the ref a Brazilian last night?

South Africa will never qualify to play in the WC. ?

No problem with the ref, he's Japanese and he was pretty good.

It's impossible for any ref to make decisions without the help of technology and video replays, thus the bad penalty decision he made last night.
A foul looks different from different angles, the ref only sees one angle, it could be the angle where it appears a foul actually took place...only video replays can make 100% correct decisions.
No thanks and sorry. Dont follow association (or union nowadays) much at all. Just I was hoping for Croatia to do a bit better as I have heard it's a little place that's a feeder for much club stock in Europe.

The way I support any sportsman is how I determine their workrate. Any game actually. And the last time I watched soccer was with the last world cup and I determined that Forlan and Suarez worked themselves silly and achieved quite a bit for their team. And for that reason I took a great liking to Uruguay. Are they in the tourney?
