Really impressive. What type of work did you do on the tracks, any compression or do you literally mean just mixing and little eq'ing?
Reminds me a lot of Relient K, local band?

It's an overseas band, what type of work DIDN'T I do to the tracks, was definitely not just some eq and compression, the bass d.i and amp recording where quite bad (at one point you could hear that cell phone noise in the recording), it was more a case of trying to completely salvage and transform everything first then try work it. Was basically an exercise in turd-polishing.

It would be a better comparison if you'd matched the levels, since your mix is quite a bit louder than the demo which makes it sound better. Though it is definitely a much better mix! Well done ?
