I'd like to say a big thank you to Norman86 for the nod to his get together over the weekend. It was great meeting other forum members and putting faces to nom de plumes. It was also great seeing the incredible range of gear that you guys have out there. I loved every minute and everything about it.

I am sure that as this get together worked out so well that, in future, it warrants the organisation of a larger open meet. You can do it Norm!

Hopefully some of the guys who were also there will upload some pics

(I think that in order to maintain what little dignity we have left though, forget the soundclips :roflmao: )

Norman86 - You're a good man! Thank you and well done!
I saw some pics on FB.

Chabs, your tele is truly a thing of beauty :goodtimes:

Loads of fun this was. Great to put faces to the names.

        Thanks Norman!

Thanks Arjun and Psean, - she really is a roadkill of a guitar though. The pics don't show the (wrong) replacement screws etc and the really bad 25 year old respray. That's just about the way she is staying in my lifetime though. She has a Seymour '54 Vintage replacement in the bridge too. I still have the original but it had been rewound by a very innovative youngster after packing in about 30 years ago.

Just to prove I was there. I had a great time.. thanks Norman.

                  Yep thanks Norm, :applause:
lets start planning the next one,
Schweeeeet! Looks like lots of fun was had. :goodtimes: :goodtimes:
(man, I am so jealous right now...... ?)
Yeah, was great to meet all the guys! Some great players in this group! Pete's old ES-330 is awesome! I almost traded all of Norman's gear for that guitar, but Pete wasn't keen ☹.

Thanks Norman for all the arrangements.
Pete's "Old" ES330 is like the most beautiful and perfectly proportioned model on FTV. If the model felt half as good in your hands, I'd be very surprised.

                        What a beautiful guitar.

This looks like it was a lot of fun. Cape Town version? Anyone with venue access?
