Not sure how many of you guys are aware of the new Shadows club that opened recently in Midrand.
If you're into The Shadows music, this is the place to be every second Tuesday from 19h00 to 22hoo!
no backing tracks allowed , because we play live with various club members. membership is free and you
can bring your folks along to listen to you play. no entry fees either! There's a pub and food available.
So if you've packed your Strat away since the sixty's, now's the time to dust it off and "Apache" up a storm!!
The venue is at "Liedjie Boer" on Celliers street. Here, you can make mistakes while playing and be forgiven!
Very nice vibe!!

That is good news. I believe that the Shadows set the standard for strat musical interpretation. The music and genre still provides for pleasant listening.
Any Shadow style players in the Vaal?

There are a few Shadows players that I know personally.

I had the good fortune of meeting up with Rocker Gramps and his fellow guitarist, Morne on Saturday. Mean Shadows players indeed.
The genre does require lots of practice and I realised, if you're a Shadows player its not only pickin' but you have to be pretty tight at rhythm too. Both of them switched roles effortlessly.

Had an extended jamming session with Rocker Gramps and Morne yesterday. Shadows style rule!
Shindig, FBI, the Fearful City, Peace pipe, foot tapper etc was lekker to play along.
Morne also has a mean voice for Cliff Richard style songs. Great day all in all
