I was wondering what's involved in building a small unit to control the effects and channel switching on my Cube. It seems a shame not to make use of the options on offer.

I have been using a simple on/off foot (micro)switch for the the two basic channels but would love to be able to make use of the programmable lead channel. Is there anything fancy about the switches? Anything that I should know before confusing myself and the amp or allowing the smoke to escape?

I haven't seen anything available with regard to the factory switch but that would be first prize.
IINM, It's just two switches on a TRS jack. They can be momentary or latching switches (there's a switch on the amp).
      Thanks Alan.

There are a number of female jacks on the back of the amp so I'll need to get my thick head around it all first . RTFM !
Roland do make a pedal for this, cant remember model no but cheap pedals.

the Boss FS5 would do the trick too I reckon.

Essentially its just turns the effect on or off.

It seems to have something to do with whether the switch is in an open or closed position to start with and whether it's the type that clicks on and off or the type that returns to its open or closed position when the foot pressure is released.

It needs a clear head ?
Hi, I recently made a bank of 6 foot switches for my cube 40lx, all switches are momentary type, works like a charm, especially on the looper, will post picture later.
Thanks very much. I see, now that I have the amp in front of me and am wearing my reading glasses, that there is a printed explanation next to the female jacks.

I look forward to seeing your pic mickeymoose.
