I need to send my Les Paul up to Grant Fouche from the Eastern Cape for some TLC. Who do you guys use / trust who won't lob it around the depot, or use it as a prop for heavy crates? And if you have used one lately, roughly what are they charging for the priviledge?

I have used Postnet door to counter more than once to move guitars up from the coast to Joburg and it usually costs around R350 and its always been perfect service. Just make sure that the guitar is in a hard case and have them stick a fragile sticker on it ?

Used MDS countless times - www.collivery.co.za

I've also used MDS quite a bit. You can use their online system to get a quote.
I've also used RAM and Berco before.

What's the average you find you guys pay? I'm guessing their quote system works on a square volume package, not something like a guitar.

Weight or volumetric weight, depending on which is more. About R350 for an electric in case (no insurance).

Thanks a mill, Alan. That helps a lot with the budgeting.

Do you guys usually add insurance? And roughly what does insurance cost?
