This weekend at the Bioscope in Maboneng you can see "As Palaces Burn", the Lamb of God doccie from 2012
Friday 7pm
Saturday 8pm
Sunday 7pm
As the Palaces Burn is a feature-length documentary that originally sought to follow the band Lamb of God and their fans throughout the world, to demonstrate how music ties us together when we can’t find any other common bond.

However, during the filming process in 2012, the story abruptly took a dramatic turn, bringing the band into a Kafkaesque nightmare, when lead singer Randy Blythe was arrested on charges of manslaughter, blamed for the death of one of their young fans in the Czech Republic. What followed was a heart-wrenching courtroom drama that left fans, friends, and curious onlookers around the world on the edge of their seats.
Then there's "March of The Gods: Botswana Metalheads" which documents the home-grown metal scene in Botswana.

This is showing at 6pm on Saturday and 5 pm on Sunday - so you can make a double feature of it, maybe grab a beer and a pizza between shows.

Terrible timing, given that all the metal heads should be at Wolmer Fest for the weekend.
