Even that's a long shot right now. The area in which they're searching is very, very deep. They can't send any kind of manned craft down and even the unmanned US Navy craft they have is having a tough time of it. Then they have to retrieve the black box and the cockpit voice recorder.
One of the experts on SKY news a while back was saying that even these may not provide too many clues because they are finite, and when the memory is full they discard on a FIFO basis. So, for hypothetical example, if somebody gained access to the cockpit early in the flight, stuck a gun to the pilot's head and shouted out instructions then that would have been recorded at the time but will almost certainly have been overwritten if the plane flew long enough to run it's tanks dry.
