HIya
this is one of my dream units.... Alan? Gearhead? you have them right?
Where can one attain them locally? and how much? I would also dig the opportunity to play one in person - do you know of any cape town based stores that stock them?

Local retail is R25K or so, but they sometimes pop up under R10K secondhand - my first cost me 4K plus an Eventide TimeFactor, my second (red) one I bought off another forumite for R7.5K. You just have to keep your eyes peeled.
I doubt anyone actually has one in stock in CT, but if you want to come try mine you are welcome (bit of a trip, I know). If you know other TCE rack gear (specifically the G-Major II), then you already have a good idea of the available FX and sounds. Add a bomb proof enclosure, fairly flexible I/O and comprehensive implementation of switches and pedals and you get the G-Sys. The OS is nicer than most TC units.
As I've said before, if you need what the G-Sys does, there is nothing else to touch it.

Sorry, "only" have the G-Force, which features simpler connectivity but more flexible processing order. The one downside in my mind is that there's not a lot of sharing going on when it comes to settings. Basically one is on his/her own to put patches together, which can get very time consuming. On the upside, the factory presets are naas.

Cool If I see one for under 10K I shall mostly definately jump on that!
Hint hint nudge nudge.
How far is agulhas from CT alan? Actually wouldnt mind taking a trip up the coast, havent been further than hermanus and would dig to check out the scenery maybe stop at some cool beach on the way..

Gather the money and just be patient then - they pop up a couple of times a year, and the main pricing factor seems to be based on whether someone has the money or not. ? You can easily pick up secondhand from Ebay at around 10-ish too.
I'm actually in Napier, which is a way before Agulhas. Two hour's drive from CT - hour and a half up the N2 and a half hour down the Agulhas road. About half an hour inland from Hermanus if you want to go that route.
