Eno-Music EX Mini Series Pedals

Hey Guys, I'd been hearing about these pedals for a while, they showcased at NAMM and had a good response and will be a MESSE this year. They found Ashton Audio and we started chatting and I asked about construction, models, we chated pricing and then I bought in some samples, for the price they are amazing! They are based in China and what they've managed to do is pretty remarkable. Each of the enclosures are tiny, Hammond 1590A style, two of them side by side are around the size of Boss pedal. They are all clones of of standard pedals, bar the analog delay. So the ES-9 is a TS9, the Trouble Overdrive is an OCD and the Fuzz is a Big Muff Pi. Having compared them side by side I'm most impressed. The Big Muff doesn't have as low a low end as the NYC big box, but in the same territory. The ES-9 is spot on the TS9, but just not as much output level, but still plenty good and the Trouble is a great OCD clone. Obviously compromise has to be made to get them into such tiny enclosures. All the onboard components are SMD, but all of them feature Neutrik style jacks and are true-bypass. No space for a battery and several of the controls are on mini pots, much like the MI Audio stuff, best for set and forget style playing, but the small foot print, quality parts and price make them very attractive. Honestly I have no intention of going into the MI market, I'm too busy with the Pro Audio stuff, but much like I did with the Cioks kit, since I've established the contact I'd be willing to do a Group Buy, if Alan allows it? Here is a video of the OCD/Trouble Overdrive = List Of Available Pedals: Pedal Tuner R350 Metalistik Distortion (Metal Distortion Clone) R400 Trinity Distortion R400 Myomorpha Distortion (RAT Clone) R400 Classic Distortion (Crunch Box Clone) R400 Trouble In Mind Overdrive (OCD Clone) R400 Eighties Screamer Overdrive (TS9) R400 Fuzz (Big Muff Clone) R400 Ambient Echo R550 Analog Delay R550 To order drop Matta a PM with your name, e-mail address and order. Octaver! this thing looks awesome (in theory). It has an octave up and 2 down. POG clone? I wonder. What does this one go for? The tuner also looks nifty. Are we ordering accessories too? I like that daisy chain with the angled heads. Anyway... let me know when it's time to order.

We might be able to buy them straight from China ourselves, but what fun it's going to be when we all receive our pedals at the same time. It's going to be great to hear every ones opinions on each pedal.

Chocklit_Thunda wrote Um... I don't mean to rain on this thread or group buy but you guys do know you are able to order these direct from china with no shipping cost? Also for 400 a piece?

Absolutely! And if anyone wants to go ahead, the R400 I've shared is including insured courier with DHL to me here in CPT, so it is going to arrive, or your money back, can't always be said for some of the Chinese e-bay sellers, check their feedback. Also what if it arrives and it's broken or not working? At least I have direct contact with the company and can have them replace it. Lastly some prefer to deal with a physical person and not an anonymous Ebay seller.

I'm not in this to make money, in fact the retail prices on these pedals from brick and mortar stores in the UK/US are sitting at around R600-R700 a pedal, I'm asking R400, the delay and echo are even more Stateside.

I'm not in this to make money, but am sure not going to lose money on it!

Sorry if that came off the wrong way, I didn't mean to insinuate that you were making money off this or anything like that. I especially meant that message for the joburg guys who wouldn't have to have anything shipped from CPT.

The guys I was talking about direct from china are on aliexpress.com and I only remembered them as I was planning to buy a fuzz and TS clone from them a while back but never got around to it. I've had plenty of success dealing with various vendors on Aliexpress and using PayPal the transactions went smoothly. I'd say for anyone planning on buying them in the CPT area, Matta's arrangement is perfect seeing as it's insured and shipping is included.
Also the Chinese post arrives in another whereas I assume that Matta's arrangement is faster.
Again I was just offering a slightly cheaper alternative that I found for guys who aren't in the area.

Hey Matta. How would you like us to place our orders? PM or email or any other way?

Thanks.

MoJo-JoJoe

Still waiting for that list, Matta. Thanks Alan for posting the link, but I was assuming Matta would list with prices.

Waiting to hear back from the suppliers as they list several pedals on the site that are not in the pricelist they gave me! So not sure if they are in production yet, or soon to be released after NAMM which they were gearing up for.

Cheers

matta wrote Classic Distortion (DS1 Clone) R400

Point of order, but the Classic distortion is apparently a clone of the Crunch Box. I think the Trinity might be a Boss clone.

According to the pricelist and PDF they sent me they said the Classic is a DS-1?

Donnerdeals has been pushing those as clones of the CB. Plus it sounds far better than the Boss DS-1 with more gain on tap:

And here's the DA-3 (now called the Trinity):

It does indeed sound WAY better than a DS-1, I'd know I own one, brand new in the box, never used, bright and trill the clip here does indeed sound more like a Crunch Box, will update the list, may get one for myself as well!

I'll have The Analog delay please.

I am up for a send-to-one-person in JHB arrangement, I'm in the West though, but Anything can be arranged, We Should find someone that is central. It will be cheaper to pay postage from Cape Town than to go fetch it in Benoni for example (probably Faster too, lol).

Keep me updated with banking details and what the postage would cost.

Thanks

Ok, spent a lot of time listening to all the samples, I'm still in for a Screamer. Also happy to share shipping to Northern Johannesburg.

I am right between Jayhell and IceCreamMan and I am super keen on that little tuner! I'll get the pedals and sort out the cost of the CPT-JHB shipping and take money back when you gentlemen come pick it up from me. How does that sound?

I'm in jhb ( live in Benoni and work in Midrand) if we need an alternative for delivery or collection.

I'll browse and mail my order ASAP.
