I came across this guy who imports Chinese Gibson into SA. He seems to be selling a lot of these guitars. This probably means the market is going to be flooded with fake Gibby's. Is anyone else concerned about this? I know your average Gibson (or guitar fan) would hopefully be able to tell the difference. I do suspect, however, that a few people will be reselling these as the real deal and some people are going to be defrauded big-time.

Is this actually legal? The seller reports that they are "replica's", but the re-sellers won't necessarily declare this, especially if they have ulterior motives or are ignorant.

Case and point:

If it has the Gibson headstock and/or logo it is illegal to sell - even if the seller says it is a replica.

You should report each and every ad you see and get the guy shut down. Stop someone else from getting ripped off somewhere down the line (it does happen).
