So a while back I was looking to buy a Shure Green Bullet for Harmonica, and came across the Superlux D112. I knew Terry D did superlux microphones so asked Lloyd if he could get one, he said he might…few months later I got one off him (on special some months back)
Half the price of a green bullet (even less with regards to the current Rand drop) and it's not bad at all. In fact considering price/performance ratio it’s a very decent Harmonica mic and well built. Definitely a bit brighter than a Green Bullet.
I have a sneaky suspicion superlux make the Peavey HC5 ‘Cherry Bomb’. This is basically the same mic (less the on/off switch and the mini xlr input).

Will put my own video demo up when I get the chance and a decent camera..

FYI This guy is using a seydel harmonica which are really great harmonicas. The south african distributor for them is micro dot music.

C. A. Seydel Söhne is the oldest harmonica factory in the world still in existence.

Been playing for 4 years (intermediate novice) and my first mic was a Hohner Bluesblaster. A buddy of mine recently bought me a 1980's Green Bullet he found in a backstreet New York Music shop. $125

The Green B is certainly much warmer tonally and I tend to switch between the two according to what I want.
Tomorrow is my first recording session with the GB, but here is my Hohner in full swing.....
