pta open mic (1st thurs of every month) now a regular event ..next on 5th sept

this is quite self explanitory .....

the 1st one last month was pretty successful so now it will become a monthly event ........ and hopefully grow from strength to strength

everyone welcome ...from beginners to pro's..... also all genres welcome if you can play it acoustically ....

full bar and restuarant menu available throughout the evening

let me just add .....yes it is an acoustic event ...BUT if you wanna bring your bass player or keyboardist for them the acoustic rule does not apply ...

just note bassists please arrange to bring a small bass amp ....

and also by acoustic ...it means of course you can plug in ......

just the 'drive sounds" are banned at the moment due to neighbours and possible noise issues

and yes if all you own is an electric guitar ....as long as you plug it in and play it clean with no drive we will "bend" the rules ... ?

however it is the acoustic vibe that we are hoping to cultivate , so if you have an acoustic use it ..... there are so few pure acoustic venues that i'd love to grow this event to be predominantly if not exclussively acoustic based

also if you have a full band that wants to perform pm before hand to make sure we have the right gear onhand but for solo/duo /trio acts the stage is ready

and yes keyboards and electric bass are allowed... (bassists would need to bring a small bass amp tho )

hey Norio .... well dude come do your thing .......... no need to be brave.... a few beers will do ?

and yes i enjoy the social side of meeting other muso's at open mic's .... often it leads to collaborations and lasting friendships...... so yes i just had to start one up here in pta since it seems i'm based here on a permanant basis for the next while .......

hope to see you there if you free..... this restuarant is not far from lucit (which has been sold btw ...)

@ Norio if you wanna come ply your skills as an MC ....(which you did so amazingly at the last one) the mic is yours ?
