Hey everyone... I found this forum by accident while googling for a Epi LP Studio and thought I'd join ? I'm a 26 year old programmer in Bloem who recently decided to get out of a funk and start playing music. I was fortunate enough to score a Japanese Fender Strat (from my fiance who no longer plays) and have been playing for about... 8 months. Like all guitarist, I think I suck... but I still love to play and pratice each day religously. So hi. 8)

Yeah, Bloem has some seriously kick ass bands... that time eroded. I'm not so much in the local music scene anymore, but this little city had some great bands.

So where do I go from here? Which sections of the site should I be checking out?

There is a challenge every week to record a one-minute song based on a keyword. It runs from Monday and entries close on Thursdays. For example the one for this week was:

http://www.guitarforum.co.za/general-discussion/weekly-challenge-12-jan-09/

and the voting thread is here:

http://www.guitarforum.co.za/general-discussion/weekly-challenge-12012009/

and to answer your previous question about uploading recordings there is a recording thread:

http://www.guitarforum.co.za/recordings/

With info on how to record and tips and tricks. Also you can upload your recordings for some feedback.

Enjoy ?
