Definitely, even last season they often played badly but through some passion and effort managed to win games - Moyes was simply not up to the task of inspiring them. I think he lost the support of the players early on with complaining about the fixtures and playing for a draw at home to Chelsea when they started without any strikers.
But still, with Rvp, Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez, Kagawa, and Mata (not to mention Fellaini, Young, Valencia, Zaha, Nani and Carrick who should score at least five a season each), United have scored almost the same amount of goals that Everton did last season - there's no excuse for that apart from a defensive tactic that nullifies creativity. Against Everton on the weekend United had 60% possession but had two shots in target. Shocking

glory days in Liverpool with the real possibility of everton coming into the top 4 as well....
I once read an interesting article bout how the fottball fortunes of Liverpool and everton have declined as the city and region went into decline economically and it sort of made huge sense.... until now that is.
good to see a new team up there, great to see it being a team which must have a squier budget compared to the richer clubs

I'm going to come across like a bitter United fan, but I want to see how they fare next season when they are playing two games a week and are not able to rely on a core 14 players that have got them through this season. And when teams actually click that they're quite good and prepare for them better with deep lying midfielders to combat the movement of the forwards.
But they have been playing some fine footy this season I didn't say that

im keen to see what effect (if any) no champs league has on the big ego's.. rooney, rvp, Ferdinand, evra, nani etc

I'd be happy without Europa League next season - much more focussed assault like Liverpool - but seems like Ferdinand, Evra, Vidic, possibly Nani too, will all be gone, maybe RVP depending on who the new manager is, and if we're lucky, Anderson, Young, Cleverly, Bebe too, plus Giggs will probably retire at the end of the season. The new manager would then need two new world class centre backs, a new left back, one or two wingers and another midfielder... and we saw how long it took a whole new Spurs team to gel. Hopefully players will see its a rebuilding and that a year without European football will be worth it - not sure if guys like Kroos would go for that though...

Personally, I hope united make Europa. Just to waste their time and fatigue their squad.
I'm curious to see how we (Liverpool) bolster up our squad as well. We were always going to need more high quality players next season (if our target of top4 was reached) and that was known. It will be a lot easier to attract that quality now that we have held out so long and been so prominent in the title race. If we win it, then that will help in attracting good players too ?
It has been a very very exciting season, and I don't remember ever being so terrified of the last three games.
This Sunday, we go again!

I think 3 or 4 top quality players will keep Liverpool competitive next season with the extra demands (and no Kolo Toure!)

To all Everton fans hoping to qualify for champs league...sorry hey...heheheh

Gerard's diabolical error may cost em the championship which would be hello a sad, if any player deserves to win it it's him. A stalwart for club and country and honors have eluded him ...apart from the euro triumph ....he has been a huge credit to Liverpool...a moment he will replay forever I reckon...ppl may never let him forget it.
In the run in man city seem to have the pick of the games esp after yesterday....let's hope Liverpool can beat palace 12 0 or something
Chocklit_Thunda
I've waited 24 years for Liverpool to win the premier league (the fact that I'm only 21 is negligible....) :'( :'( :'( all we need is for city to draw one game.... I'd kinda hoped Everton would be that team but unfortunately city bested them....

As far as every Liverpool fan is concerned... Liverpool has won. Regardless of the result.
We are extremely proud of the way the club has performed.
Also, we know that this season was a silly and scruffy skirmish and that the Real work starts next season.

Anyone care to elaborate how you lose a 3 goal advantage and concede 3 goals in under 11 minutes??ESPECIALLY when you're in the running for the title?? :'( :'( :'(
proze
Simple, our defence has been terrible all season, but nothing has been done about it. Rodgers is finding out that you can't Suarez your way to the title with a kak defence.
No, Superman is doing good, you are doing well.

Because you are the bad guys and that's what happens to bad guys. Don't worry though, next season will be your year
Squonk
But what a game. I think Rodgers showed his first sign of "immaturity" as a manager. Palace had the momentum, he should have chucked on some defensive players instead of chucking on strikers. Even Moyes would have bolstered defense instead of going for more goals.
But Hats Off to Liverpool and Rodgers for making this one of the Best premiership seasons for many a year.
And Tony Pulis has to get some credit as well, Palace are good stuff
