Hi,
Thought I would post this because I went to a gig by the same organizers a while ago and we had a blast.
20 July
20:00
R60 Cover
- The Bones and Aidan Martin are great live acts
- It is a nice outing to go the state theater for change
- The Rendezvous theater is nice and personal
- The sound was great
- The atmosphere was great (aka. just because it's a theater it doesn't mean there is no cheering etc. going on)
- It is a nice venue to introduce younger folk to the bands instead of having to explain to their mothers why they are in smokey bars until 01:00 in the evening
I would not recommend the restaurant at the state theater, it is a bit "loud/club/lounge" for my taste (it is called Afro Lounge) but we had some wine at the Rendezvous before the venue that we took inside during the show. You can park inside the state theater, easiest is to the use the entrance in Pretorius Street (can't recall the new name).
I had a good experience at the previous event so if you are not doing anything on 20 July in Pretoria, try this.
