The music and singing is pretty ballsey though, I like the idea of not having to have/rely on drums or bass to make it seem impressive, if just a guitar and vocals can get the point across then anything you add is just going to be gravy.

This didn't do much for me to be honest. If they guy did Rusty Cooley solos while playing syncopated beats ala Tomas Haake or Morgen Agren, I'd be impressed.

That I have to agree with 100%, the guy made faults, there were a bit of longer breaks as he was switching over, but it didn't matter 1 bit. If that guy was playing a local spot I reckon that pretty much everyone would be going ape shit.

Fine, that's what you like in your music. But you should also try and understand what makes him impressive to others. Otherwise you'll miss out on a whole host of good music.

i didn't really pick up the jimmy page. but i got a whole lot of jack white. thing for me is this guy plays with passion. he really comes across as enjoying himself. damn the icebergs kind of stuff.

that's what i respect. almost above all other things in a musician. kinda semi ties back to what alan referenced about performance. you can be technically marvellous. tonally superb. and look bored to pieces up there. but even if you're only marginally great, and you're marginally great while having a brilliant time, you'll have my full attention.

Totally agree with Alan, you can be the dogs bollocks on guitar and bore the crap outta people, but have confidence in your level of playing and putting it all out there goes a lot further....
